Pan Fried Duck Gyozas & Dipping Sauce

Instructions

  1. Cook as follows: Heat a large 12-inch to 13-inch non-stick pan over medium heat. Add the 1 tablespoon of oil to the pre-heated pan, and then place 30 gyozas in the pan, pleated side up. Fry until crispy on the bottom, approximately 2 to 3 minutes. Carefully add 1/2 cup water and immediately cover with a lid and steam for approximately 4 to 5 minutes. Take the lid off and cook off (evaporate) any residual water. Remove the cooked gyozas from the pan.
  2. In the meantime, combine the soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, and the optional sambal oelek together to make the dipping sauce. Mix thoroughly to completely blend the honey.
